Selection and Connection Subwoofer in Machine - Video Process

A good sound of music in the car is a guarantee that you can always enjoy your favorite compositions and sound quality will be at the height. Unfortunately, not all car manufacturers are installed in the cabin a good stereo system, and music lovers have to think about the question - how to make music sound well.

Subwoofer is a speaker that can reproduce low frequencies in the range from 20 to 200 hertz. The ordinary full-time audio system can cope with this task (unless of course you do not have a D-class car for several million. So the question arises - how to choose and connect a subwoofer.

Active subwoofers characterized by the presence of power amplifier and crossover, which sifts all excess frequencies. This type of subwoofer is well localized by low frequencies and reproduces them without overloading the head amplifier.

Passive subwoofers Not equipped with power amplifiers and therefore their configuration is very complex, because as a result, an imbalance in sound may occur.

There is also I. NF subwoofers which are separate speakers, and already the housing for them must be made independently. Such subwoofers can be installed in any place in the car.

Where the subwoofer will be installed depend on the type of car body:

  • sedans - for such machines the most suitable place to install the subwoofer will be the rear shelf, although you can install them and in the door and even in the front panel;
  • hetchi and station wagons - the best place to install Sabe will be the trunk, where you can put and already fully ready for use active subwoofers or make the case for passive and low-frequency;
  • if you drive on a cabriolet or roadster, then the SABIs are usually installed in the trunk lid, while two LF dynamics use to improve sound quality.

An important point is the connectivity of the Saba to the car audio system itself. At the same time, the following questions should be solved:

  • is it possible to connect a subwoofer to your radio;
  • how will cables from the subwoofer will be held;
  • where to position under the hood the subwoofer fuse.

The easiest to connect active subwoofers, since they have all outputs and connectors, as well as cables.

The active SAB is connected to the radio with a single linear cable, on the back cover, the radio must be a special connector, if it is not, then it will have to buy a new one, or take a soldering iron in the hands to search for schemes for connecting Saba. Two more wires should provide power to the amplifier, positive wire to the plus terminal of the battery, minus - to minus.

It is also important to install a fuse near the battery, and all the wires are beautifully hidden under the trim machine.

Passive and NF SABIs in principle are connected by the same scheme, but there is one small difference - they need a parallel connection of the amplifier. If the header provides the presence of an amplifier, there should not be any problems - the acoustic cable is pulled to the SATU, and all the settings are conducted through the amplifier. Also, the subwoofer is also conducted through the amplifier, and not from the battery, so you just need to connect the minus and positive outputs and clamps.

In general, this is all. But if you are not sure about your abilities, or afraid to squeeze, it is better to call for a service where everything will be done quickly and humanly.
